We welcome all youth living in Newtown who want to play baseball for Newtown Babe Ruth.

Our leagues are safe, fun and very instructional! If your child has never played before or if your child is a “seasoned vet”, playing baseball with Newtown Babe Ruth has a lot to offer.

Midgets 6 year olds $105.00	Coach Pitch/Machine Pitch. We attempt to group children with kids they already know. One weekday practice/game and one weekend game.	Watertown Fields - Fields 1-2-3 Behind Reed School

Minors A 8 year olds $105.00	"A" League - Cal Ripken rules - Coach/Player Pitch. Players are drafted. One or two weekday practices/game and one weekend game.	Hawley Field - Hawley 1 & 2 Behind Hawley School
Minors AA 9 year olds $120.00	"AA" League - Cal Ripken rules - Player Pitch. Players are drafted. One or two weekday practices/game and one weekend game.	SAC Field - Short distance past Sandy Hook firehouse on right.

Babe Ruth Juniors 14-15 year olds $130.00	Babe Ruth rules - Umpires, Player Pitch, Leadoff permitted. Players are drafted. Full baseball.	Middle School - Behind MS High School - Behind HS
Babe Ruth Seniors 16-18 year olds $130.00	Babe Ruth rules - Candlewood Valley League. Games in Newtown and surrounding area. Umpires, Player Pitch, Leadoff permitted. Players are drafted. Full baseball.	Middle School - Behind MS High School - Behind HS

Evaluations & Draft
Players 8 years and older are assigned teams via a draft process. You will be contacted for the evaluation process. Players are drafted with team parity the most important objective. All children are assigned to a team; no one gets “cut”.

Evaluation Locations: Tryouts may be held at a variety of locations including town gymnasiums and out of town training facilities.

Rest assured that we will not distribute your email address to anyone outside our organization. Also, please note the registration deadline. Registrations received after this date will incur a higher registration fee and will be placed on a waiting list. While we will make every effort to place your child, we will not be able to guarantee a team assignment for late registrations.
